In the Rockford Park section of Wilmington one gets the sense of stepping back in time. From the surrounding hills, the highly visible and historic Rockford Tower can overwhelm onlookers and the curious. It has inspired many an artist and family picnics on its majestic grounds. You may be wondering what is the significance between the tower and these panels, and I would respond with, the historic and peaceful setting can be traced to a time about 1899 to 1902 during its construction. At this time in history the Victorian era reined supreme. In its height about 1880 through 1890, many homes here and abroad were adorned with lavish art glass and a Victorian flare. A perfect setting for the artistic and free flowing symmetrical designs that can inspire an artist.

Victorian windows and many of the incorporated designs were based on a simple arch, much like a set of french curves, these arches were used over and over to form most of the shapes seen in many of the periods window designs.

Close up & Charming describes the feeling you get when entering this warm and spacious family room.
