About Our New Site

First off, we hope all our regular customers and new ones will find this change a pleasing one. Here at The Oak Tree Stained Glass we decided it was time for a change. As always we would love hear your thoughts and views about the site and any criticism good or bad. The change was influenced directly by our older software and the limits it imposed upon our programming. The new site is now hosted by a new service provider, and as such has a more stable server. The new servers have an excellent track record of 99.9% up time. This new site should eliminate any potential down time, which only drives off our new and loyal customers. The new look is an about face upon the older website's darker pages. One of the goals we wanted to achieve was to have a simplified navigational structure, and one that was easy to remember. With the help of the Site Map above the surfer can see the entire site at a glance. We aren't very big on bells and whistles, but having some fancy features keeps it interesting enough to hold your interests.

 

What's New

Galleries: Galleries-Galore ! , we have catalogued pictures from the last 14 years of our work. Deep ito the archives and digging out the older photos we have come across some intrusting and pleasing memories that we would like to share with all of our readers.

The Tool Review: We think you will enjoy the new segment called "On The Table" where you will find easy links to some of the industries best and leading marketable tools .Newly added as of 09/03/02 Software Design Reviews, a must read with valuable tips and links plus even more free patterns.

Navigation: Much easier to follow and get around. THis site mapping is our entire website at a glance.

Restructure: All of our pages have been restructured and or completely redesigned. They are brighter and much more alive with content.

New Work: This is a good example of how the pages have been revised. It has a cleaner look and feel with more precise and direct linking to the content pages.

Free Patterns: The free patterns are all completely viewable so you can choose at a glance which patterns you want to download. New patterns are offered as they become available. Added as of 09/02/02 All New "Color Design Downloads".

The Student Center: This is one of my pet projects and as an Artist and teacher I am very concerned about the selective material that our students receive. There are three online tutorials that have been reconfigured and lots more goodies for students of all kinds.

Products: Our Products section breaks away into specific areas making individual selective information easily available to the reader.

Starter Kits: We have 5 pages devoted to different types of kits. Each page holds product descriptions and pictures along with links to purchase online. After all no other store that we know of has or sells as many different type and styles of Starter Kits.

Home: Our home page has several sub pages that consist of About Us - Company history and business location info. FAQ for common questions and answers. Gear - for the die hard collectors, and Resources with valuable links to other Stained Glass related sites.
