Construction Notes
The design was a simple nature occurrence, the construction
follow through process was tedious and a labor of love.
The primary subjects such as the flowers and birds allowed
little thought for nothing less then the closest representation
of Mother Nature herself. We used Youghiogheny. After completion
of the soldering process we washed the panels with an antique
black patina. This defined the lead lines and gave a greater
field of depth.

Hand rolled glass poses a more challenging
craftsmanship level not only to cut but to select, and place
within a proper perspective. |
 |
The inner oval border was to maintain a vertical
grain from the ellipse center and working outward to gain a
perspective of enlarging size and pleasing the eye. |
- Glass Used: Youghiogheny, Wissmach, Spectrum
- Lots of foil and solder
- 3/8" Zinc Capping
- Stock size bevels and Mika beveled accents

Panel Highlights

Aside from the pure beauty
and fun it was to create and have the opportunity to make an
artistic statement such as this panel allowed, |
|
| when your near it you cant help but
to be drawn into the movement and detail. Its ever changing
with light and mode. |

Testimonial

Dear Rob and Terry,
Thank you for your exquisite work on the triple panels for our
dining
room. We have backlit the panels on the porch side and take
pleasure in
observing your artwork change as the light changes from natural
to
incandescent, and behind or on the subject. The magnolia draws
us into
the piece, and from there we wander all over ...mealtime is
more about
discovering new colors than eating! We appreciate your patience
with us as we figured out what we wanted;
for us the time was well spent.
Warmly,
Joe and Barbara, Wilmington, DE |

Artistic Notes
|
Throughout the duration of the
project our customers were and are by practice asked to become
part of the art process. The old saying holds true, that "Two
heads are better than one". Our clients in this case
submitted a theme in concept and from there, together we tweaked
the design here and there to reflect the clients vision. Yes
this is the part of the project that requires understanding
rather than frustration, compassion rather than making a buck,
and patience rather than deadlines and time constraints. Business
is not Art. Passion is Art.
